Bijou

The Bijou dates back to the 1890’s and was very popular until prohibition. Since we love martinis so much, we were certain we’d like this one. And we weren’t wrong! A ‘distinguished’ style of cocktail, good for quiet evenings. AKA it’s bougie AF and so you know what we had to try it. The original recipe was equal parts Gin, Red Vermouth, and Green Chartreuse – but here’s how we like it best:

2oz Merc’s Gin
1oz Red Vermouth
0.5oz Green Chartreuse
With a sprinkle of orange bitters.
And don’t forget the big ol’ ice cube.
